Scully, Chef/Owner of the Corner Kitchen, likes to add a personal
touch to the dishes he creates. Often this takes the shape
of an ingredient he has discovered over his many years in the
food business. We recently enjoyed a breakfast of his corned beef hash with a
poached quail egg on top.... On this evening, Joe
and his staff will introduce us to their delicious and quirky cuisine.
The Weinhaus will match wines to the foods and join in an evening that promises
to be special.

Southside Cafe in South Asheville

John Redden has been wowing the folks in South Asheville for several years now.
His cuisine is fresh and inventive with amazing fourishes that come from John’s
training and apprenticeship (at Gary
Danko in San
Francisco). The service is impeccable, suervised by Lance Carter, owner of
Southside Café. On this evening, John has gone Mediterranean! We will enjoy a
four course meal featuring John’s take on some outstanding Spanish dishes
paired with wines from Spain chosen by the staff of the Weinhaus. If you are
looking for an exciting way to enjoy Southside’s food and ambience, make plans

Tuesday, March 9, 2010 ~ Kathmandu Café next
to the Weinhaus on Patton Ave.
We
are excited! We have Asheville’s newest restaurant at 90 Patton Ave. next to
the Weinhaus. Manoj and Sushila Lama who own Himalayan Imports have created a
restaurant featuring Indian and Himalayan cuisine and the food is delicious. The
curries are prepared fresh and the naan is baked in a clay tandoori oven. Come
and try Kathmandu on this evening featuring a five course meal with wines chosen
to accompany the dishes by the Weinhaus.

north Asheville
Well,
it’s tax time again. If you want to celebrate the fact that it’s
over
or to have some company to commiserate with, here is the perfect opportunity.
When we were talking with Chef/Owner Larry Waldrop about Grovewood’s hosting a
dinner, Larry said "this time of year, we’re all conscious of tax time
coming soon, so I want to make a special dinner that sells in case people have
to pay the IRS". Larry will tailor a top fight menu to the wines the
Weinhaus is choosing to try on this evening. Join us as we look forward to April
15th.

Vincenzo’s
Always
one of our most popular wine tasting dinner venues, Vincenzo’s has been a
fxture on Market St. in downtown Asheville for almost 20 years. Owner Dwight
Butner focuses on impeccable service, and Chef Kenville Thompson provides
delicious, well prepared cuisine. All in all an excellent way to spend an
