Friday Night Flights

What a great way to begin the weekend!  Come down to the Weinhaus on the last Friday of the month between 5-7 and taste a “flight” of 4 different wines, each with its own special character and personality.  We will serve some light hors d’oeuvres along with the wine.  This is a good learning opportunity, as well, to help you understand wine in general and more about your tastes, too.

Friday, July 30 – Days of Wine and Rosés. I bet you thought of the flower, not rosé wine. So goes the often misunderstood rosé. Come discover how great a dry rosé is for food and enjoying the warm weather. OK, we’ll slip in a red too (just to compare)

Friday, August 27 – Wines of Southern France. Hunt visited the great wine regions in the south of France this past April and will show some of his favorite finds.

Friday, September 24 — The Kiwi Challenge. Not the fruit mind you, but a sampling of the wonderful wines that New Zealand has to offer.  The evening will include their much vaunted Sauvignon Blancs, and their increasingly present Pinot Noirs.  The staff will try to find a wine off the beaten path as well.

Friday, October 29 — Monster Cabs. If big Cabernet Sauvignon is what you like, then there is no reason to be scared.  We will bring some of the big boys out of their lairs for a Halloween tannic treat.

All Friday Night Flights are $10 for 4 tasting pours and light food.  Your favorite of the 4 may be added in a full pour for an additional $5.
