The Weinhaus was founded in 1977 in Asheville NC by Dave Mallett and partners. In 1980 one partner was bought out and in 1983, Dave became the sole owner. After years of educating, serving and nurturing the wine community, Dave retired in 2004 and is succeeded by his son, Hunt Mallett, and son-in-law, Gene Hollar. Throughout the years the Weinhaus has endeavored to give top-flight customer service to the Western North Carolina area. We carry a full selection of imported and domestic wines and beers. We specialize in value red wines. We offer full-time courteous wine consultants, party planning, beer keg selections, complimentary use of stemware, as well as help with choosing that perfect wine for the evening meal.
